I can't even begin to tell you how strong these magnets are.. if you get them within 2 inches from something metal they will literally jump out of your hand to stick to the metal. and once attached to metal you have to really work to get them separated. the only thing I find as a problem is that if you pull downwards of they are hanging vertically say against a front of a cabinet they will slide down with some force. that's the only thing but I've found putting something under it keeps it from sliding down. I just then to attach to a metal shelving unit I use for crafts. they are exactly the right size to hang around the edges of the shelves and corners to hang scissors and tape and other supplies on. I have also used then to hold my key chains while I do macrame. they are great. even my husband was impressed. he wants to get some for his work shop and that says allot,?
